Jazz in the 20th century performance program
Designed for high school and middle school music students, this program is performed by the Indy Jazz Fest Band comprised of top jazz musicians. Flanked by two video screens that show footage of jazz legends, this band goes through the history of jazz by performing songs from the early 1910ís to modern jazz The Indy Jazz Fest Band is accompanied with narration and dynamic lighting.
Impressions - performance program
Designed for elementary school students, this program is also performed by the Indy Jazz Fest band demonstrating the fundamentals of music and how it applies to jazz. The performance outlines melody, harmony and rhythm, as the three main aspects of music, dynamics, form and improv.
