Pianist/bandleader Count Basie born 1904 in Red Bank, NJ.  2010 Indy Jazz Fest performers and Indianapolis based independent record label Owl Studios artsts, Rob Dixon and Derrick Gardner have both been members of the Count Basie Orchestra.
