Raul Midon has traveled the world singing with artists like Shakira, Alejandro Sanz, Julio Iglesias and Jose Feliciano. Not one to stay in the shadows too long, Midon earned a recording contract by playing for whomever the record label set up the meeting with. Since birth, Midon has been fighting to make his stay in this world a memorable one.
Raul Midon
Born in Embudo, New Mexico, Raul and his twin brother Marco, were blinded at birth when their premature births caused them to spend time in an incubator without proper eye protection. Not allowing this to be anything less than inspiration to achieve, Raul was inspired by his father’s, a professional Argentinian Folkloric dancer, colorful record collection. Starting out playing percussion, he switched to guitar the rest of his childhood. Following this path lead him the jazz program at the University of Miami.
Midon’s musical career began to prosper when he started working as a backup singer for many major Latin artists. This allowed for Midon to see the world and experience the music business first hand. Leading Midon into a yearning for a solo career that he felt would propel him to achieve his passion in music. What followed was two solo albums, a list of television, album compilations and concerts that has helped Midon elevate Latin music across the board.
