Naptown Sound kicks off Indy Jazz Fest with a powerful celebration of the city’s musical heartbeat—this year expanding across both indoor and outdoor stages at The Jazz Kitchen. From classic tributes to genre-bending collaborations, seven stellar bands light up the night in a nonstop showcase of local excellence.

The lineup features the Indiana All-State Jazz Combo, a Freddie Hubbard Tribute with some of Indy’s top jazz veterans, soulful sets from Bashiri Asad, Latin energy from Pavel & Direct Contact, and Afrobeat grooves by SleepyNap Afrobeat Experience, plus more. It’s a high-energy, hometown gathering that honors the past while pushing the sound forward.
